On May 14, 2025, The Jewish Women’s Foundation held their Annual Meeting at the Issac Agree Downtown Synagogue.
In their newly renovated fourth floor room at the synagogue, JWF Trustees enjoyed the JFS Mind University exercises led by Lynn Breuer and Yuliya Gadelynko of Jewish Family Service. JFS Mind University boosts memory and overall brain health. The classes target six critical cognitive functions with increasing speed and difficulty as classes progress. The program offers a 4-pronged approach to fighting cognitive decline, restacking the odds in favor of healthy aging.
In addition, Rachel Rudman, Executive Director of IADS, spoke about recent renovations to the synagogue, including the new rooftop deck, and the Samantha Woll Center for Jewish Detroit. As well as how the synagogue provides a hub for meaningful engagement and collective action in support of the Jewish community as well as the general community of Metropolitan Detroit. Following Rudman’s talk, at the end of the meeting, the Trustees enjoyed a guided tour of the exhibit.
